Description

Each pair of PanPan walnuts is selected from a specific strain of wild walnut, traditionally used in China as a handheld object. Chosen for their shape, balance, and surface, they are meant to be turned in the hand and developed over time.

Detail

Used as a matched pair, balanced in size, shape, and weight for smooth, even movement in the hand.

The turning motion creates a steady rhythm, offering a way to stay occupied while providing a light, continuous massage across the palm.

With regular use, each pair develops differently — the surface softens, and the tone becomes darker and more defined over time.

Please note: each pair is unique in shape, tone, and grain. No two pairs are the same.

PanPan walnuts are inspired by traditional Wenwan walnuts — a practice shaped through generations of daily fidgeting.  In designing PanPan, we kept that idea intact. Each pair is matched for a smooth, steady motion in hand. With time, the surface softens and the color deepens — becoming a quiet reflection of touch.

Behind the Motion of PanPan Walnut

Turn. Feel. Change.

The Perfect Pair

PanPan walnuts are always used in pairs. Each two are carefully matched in size, shape, and weight so they move evenly in the hand.

Surface Preparation

Before regular use, the surface is cleaned and brushed to remove dust. This keeps the texture clear and allows the walnuts to develop evenly over time.

Turning in the Hand

The walnuts are rotated continuously in one hand. This motion keeps the hands occupied while stimulating pressure points and improving circulation.

Color Development

With repeated use, the surface smooths and the color deepens into a rich tone. This change comes from touch and natural oils over time.

Movement and Contact

PanPan walnuts move through a simple motion — turning in the hand, one against the other.
After a few turns, the rhythm settles in on its own. As they roll, pressure shifts across the palm — steady, continuous, never fixed. Not stillness, but controlled motion. No setup, no pause. Just movement, pressure, and the feel of it in your hand.
